The Yas Marina Circuit is a permanent circuit in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. At 5.281 km long with 16 corners, the lap is run 58 times on race day. The circuit first appeared on the Formula 1 calendar in 2009. Situated 10 metres above sea level, the thin air shapes car setup throughout the race weekend.
Turn 1 — Tight right-hand hairpin at the end of the main straight, the primary braking zone and main overtaking spot at Yas Marina.
Turn 3 — Right-hand bend leading onto the section alongside the Yas Marina hotel.
Turn 4 — Left-hander that tightens through the hotel section, requiring care on entry.
Turn 6 — Tight left-hander at the end of the back straight, a key braking zone and overtaking opportunity.
Turn 8 — Long left-hand sweep through the twisty middle sector, demanding sustained commitment.
Turn 9 — Slow right-hand hairpin in the marina section, a major braking zone and overtaking opportunity.
Turn 11 — Right-hander in the marina section, part of the flowing sequence after Turn 9.
Turn 13 — Right-hander that transitions into the final sector of the circuit.
Turn 14 — Tight left-hander, the last significant braking zone before the final straight section.
Turn 16 — Final corner before the pit straight, a left-hander that sets up the run to the finish line.
This circuit has 10 mapped grandstand sections: Main Grandstand, Paddock Club, Abu Dhabi Hill/General Admission, Sunset Lounge, North Grandstand, North Straight Grandstand, West Straight Grandstand, West Grandstand, Marina Grandstand, South Grandstand.
